Friday evening Everett's school had "Movie Night" and so did Ashton's school (1st time ever). Ashton wanted to go see the movie that was playing at Everett's school instead of his school so I volunteered to help so Ashton could go too! Normally Everett goes by himself, it is $5 for a drop off event and all the money goest directly back into the school. So, that means.........NO selling of cookies, wrapping paper and all that other stuff that no one really wants to buy!!
(Ashton is on the left in the red shirt and white pants with legs up in the air and Ev is in the green and black on the right)
The boys had fun and Ashton did a great job laying still and watching Wreck-It-Ralph with all the older kids.
We came home and they both had to go straight to bed to be rested up for Saturday's Opening Day Baseball Parade and games. Around 10:30pm I recieved an email that the festivities were being cancelled because the fields were still not in great condition due to the rain from Thursday and we were to have a freeze warning overnight and it would just be to cold to have the kiddos out in that all day, WOO HOO......because it was to cold for me to be out in that all day too! It has all been rescheduled for next weekend!
So.....I took everyone to breakfast at the pancake house and believe it or not Ashton ate nothing.......we were worried! Then we all went to Costco. When we got home Lee and Everett went and mowed some clients yards and trimmed shrubs. Ashton and I went and picked up my sister and we went paint shopping for the babies room (due in August)!
On our way to pick her up I had called and spoke to mom, she was trying to find a cute little dress for their Italy trip (leaving May 4th) and was not having luck, so Rae and I decided to go shopping for her! She always picks stuff up for us so it was our turn to get her something cute. We went to T.J. Maxx and found the most adorable Italy inspired dress but figured even with the small size it was, it would probably still be to big for mom. We did however, end up getting her 3 dresses and a skirt. When they come down next weekend for baseball she has to try everything on and model for us :)
We went to lunch at Paradise Bakery and again.......Ashton did not eat.......???? After we dropped Rae off at home we pulled up to our house and the neighbors were out and about and there were 7 boys and 2 girls out in the yard playing (and all getting along) so we hung out with LeeAnn and her family that had been over to help build her shelves in the garage for storage. We stayed for dinner (Ashton still didn't eat) and drinks then called it an early night.
We woke up this morning and Ashton ATE A TON!! The boys and I went to Sunday School (I am still teaching the 2nd grade class, they make their 1st Communion this weekend - so proud of them!) and church (we got a new preist and I am really starting to like him, great personality and sense of humor). The boys enjoy going to the 10:30am Mass because they get to leave and go to the Children's Literagy for about 25 minutes fo the Mass (makes it easier for chick so he is not sitting so long).
When we got home from church Lee was out front working on the yard and lawn mowers (neighbors). Everett has asked to mow this year so we let him mow the front yard with us there to help him out and make sure he stays safe. He does a great job! Chick wanted to play some T-ball so I pitched him some balls and he hit off the T. He does really good for being so little!! Then we all went in and took a nap (not Lee).
(Ashton is OUT.....)
Today has been a great day, very sunny but still really cold. We are celebrating my birthday today since we have baseball practice tomorrow evening. The are getting me a FitBit Flex (it tracks my calories burned, steps walked, hours of sleep, quality of sleep.....) they have not been released yet but once they are I will get an email notification and can place my order, now what color to pick......black, slate, teal, or coral........good thing they are interchangable, I may need to get a couple! Everett wants to buy me a book at his school book fair tomorrow with his own money he made helping Lee mow yesterday (so sweet). We are having grilled chicken, grilled veggies (red & green peppers, mushrooms, onions, carrots, sugar snap peas, brocolli, and cauliflower), and baked potato, fresh strawberries and blueberris! Lee went and got me a GLUTEN FREE chocolate cake from the Geist Bakery! YUMMY!!!!!
